The Robert B. Menschel Media Center, which underwent a complete renovation in 1999, is home to Light Work, Community Darkrooms, WJPZ radio station, Citrus TV, Food Works, and Watson Theater. Light Work is a nonprofit, artist-run organization focused on supporting emerging and under-recognized artists working in photography through exhibitions, publications, grants, and a renowned residency program. Community Darkrooms is a state-of-the-art, affordable public access photography and digital imaging facility. It provides both student and Syracuse community photographers access to black-and-white and color darkrooms, a lighting studio, and a digital lab with top-of-the-line scanning and printing equipment.
